Renal failure (also kidney failure or renal insufficiency) is a medical condition in which the kidneys fail to adequately filter waste products from the blood.[1] The two main forms are acute kidney injury, which is often reversible with adequate treatment, andchronic kidney disease, which is often not reversible. In both cases, there is usually an underlying cause.
Renal failure is mainly determined by a decrease in glomerular filtration rate, the rate at which blood is filtered in the glomeruli of the kidney. This is detected by a decrease in orabsence of urine production or determination of waste products (creatinine or urea) in the blood. Depending on the cause, hematuria (blood loss in the urine) and proteinuria (protein loss in the urine) may be noted.
In renal failure, there may be problems with increased fluid in the body (leading to swelling),increased acid levelsraised levels of potassiumdecreased levels of calciumincreased levels of phosphate, and in later stages anemia. Bone health may also be affected. Long-term kidney problems are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.- Wikipedia

I'll start my story when i was hired as a private nurse, yes, iam a nurse, As long as i remember my blood pressure rises every now and then but the symptoms didnt show up. Until one day i've noticed that im losing weight drastically. So i scheduled for my cousin, a doctor, to check me up but unfortunately he's out of the country. As months passed by, some itchy rashes appeared o my skin, and i tasted rusty iron everytime i eat. and a day after my 33rd birthday on November 8, 2009, my body cant cope anymore and i collapsed. Fortunate that i was in my cousins house. They rushed me to the nearest hospital and the biggest shock was facepalmed into me. "You have  renal failure" says the nephrologist. your creatinine rose up to 25 which 1.5 is the normal. It felt like time suddenly stopped and the only thing that linger in my mind is why? to be continued...
